Acting In Film Video

In the movie Michael Caine, a great actor, shows and gives actors tips on how to act in film. He mentions how the eyes and making eye contact with the other actor is very important. Caine demonstrates how less facial expressions and movements for the camera is better because if not it seems as if we have a twitch. I learned that for film we  have to take it easy and steady, that we can take our time. When you act on film you have to relax and remember that its not like theatre were you talk to the audience and you address them, but in film you have to try to make it seem as if you are talking to one person only. Overall the tips in the film are very helpful and I think all directors and actors should see it because that way you learn about the small details that can be making your film good or bad.
Theatre is cutting in surgery with a scapulae, but film is using a laser in surgery.

AIDS WALK

The 28th annual AIDS Walk took place in West Hollywood on October 14, 2012. 30,000 people including Bell high students walked or volunteered to fundraise for HIV/AIDS patients.
The event started at 8:15 a.m for those that were going to walk, but for volunteers such as the Interact club and TAC, they were there at 5:40 a.m. There were celebrity performances during the opening ceremony, which included Norm Lewis, Dot Marie Jones, Daisy Fuentes, and the cast of Awkward.
" It's a great day for us to be here and there is lots of stigma that comes with AIDS and HIV virus and it's important especially our fans that are younger and even if they couldn't donate money to the cause, I was telling everyone to at least go to the website and check it out," said Jessica Lu form the cast of Awkward.
Lorena Colin a senior from Bell’s Take Action Campaign, when asked why she came to volunteer said, “It seemed like a fun idea and I like helping.”
60, 000 people have died of AIDS in the area of Los Angeles alone since the epidemic began. The 10k walk was no match for all the people that were walking for a loved one, friend or even just because they wanted to help the cause.
L.A is not the only city that has this event, but also New York, San Francisco, and San Diego. Craig R. Miller is the founder of the organization and since it started in 1948 it has become one of the largest fund-raising events in the nation.
It was exciting doing this news story because I was there during the event taking note of what was happening. It did not feel like homework or something that I had to do, but a story that I wanted do. The hardest part of the story was getting the interview with Jessica Lu, but luckily I had a phone that could record the interview and refer to it if I needed too. Also, I was embarrassed to as Jessica Lu questions. For the most part I felt and was an actual reporter.

Extra! Extra! Wildfire

Over the long holiday weekend a wildfire broke out in the Angeles National Forest off San Gabriel   Canyon. The fire erupted on Sunday afternoon around 2:15 p.m and many were in shock at the break out of the fire. The fire department took a while in getting to the fire because of how the distance of the location. In the morning after 24hrs firefighters have contained the fire about 15%. I guess we are going to have more heat waves because of the fire. Families were told to prepare for evacuation, but many residents did not leave since the last fire did not come close to there homes. Lets hope that the fire is contained more and put out so that no one gets hurt and thanks to all the brave firefighters.

Hello

Bonjour, my name is Elizabeth Uribe. I am a senior at Bell High. One of my favorite things to do is watch movies, musicals, and plays. I  watch all types of films and I just think its a great form of art that. Another thing that I like to do is to shop for shoes, travel, and learn about different cultures.
